Nitro Funny Car and Top Nostalgia Dragster

James Day is a working man. Growing up in the hot bed of drag racing, Southern California, Day has literally worked his way to becoming one of the most sought after drivers in drag racing today. Day has the charisma, skill and determination to be an exceptional spokesperson for any team. His work history includes wrenching on some of the worlds top race teams as listed:

• December 1996 to July 1997: Jack Wyatt (Wyatt Racing)
  Responsibilities: Servicing the clutch, starting the car, and chassis maintenance.
• November 1997 to December 1999: Gary Densham (Densham Motorsports)
  Responsibilities: Bottom end, building motors, chassis maintenance.
• December 1999 to February 2000: Jerry Toliver (WWF Racing)
  Responsibilities: Bottom end, building motors, chassis maintenance .
• July 2000 to August 2000: Del Worsham (Worsham Racing)
  Responsibilities: Bottom end, building motors, chassis maintenance.
• November 2005 to February 2007: Don Schumacher Racing

Responsibilities: Sponsor relations, marketing, merchandising, and public speaking.

Driver History

• Attended Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School in March 1997 – Super Comp Dragster
• Licensed at Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School in May 2000 – Top Alcohol Funny Car – Ran a best of 6.15 seconds at 220 miles per hour
• Drove Texas Stagecoach A-fuel Dragster 2002
• Driver of Bob Steffens’ Front Motored Top-fuel Dragster in 2004-05
• Raced the entire 2004 season – Best of 6.22 at 240 mph
• Drove Darryl Hitchman’s A-Fuel dragster second half of 2005. Career best of 5.39 ET at 265 mph
• Test Driver for Larry and Roy Miersch A-Fuel Dragster part time in 2006
• Driver for DLS Motorsports Nitro Funny Car full time in 2007-2009 NHRA and IHRA participation
